Once again, thank you all for the faves and comments! I'm unfortunately going to have to disable further comments because I've heard "omg she's supposed 2 b black u got it wrong!1!" one too many times and I'm sick of it, but for those of you who actually read and respected my comments, thank you

But please refrain from commenting about any "inaccuracies"-- this is the way I pictured the scene and Rue; I wasn't necessarily trying to be absolutely 100% book-accurate!Oh man, this picture may hold the record for longest time passed between start and finish. I sketched this and started inking it about this time last year while studying abroad in Japan. Just got around to finishing it today.
Rueeee! You can't tell me you didn't cry when she died! Her hair took me foreverrrr.
I hope my picture does her character justice ;A;

This. Is just plain amazing. You really captured what she looked like. The spear also looks realistic, like it is actually tearing through her. This is amazing. But I cried during the death of her D:

hey you this is a good drawing but its sad. the spear doesnt look like a spear it looks like a big stick. but we allll know most sticks cant kill people so ik its a spear. SADNESS!!!!

So sad is the death of a well loved fictional character. I cried buckets, and even teared up at just looking at your work. A great drawing dearie, it really captures every emotion.

Looks black to me. She is far blacker than in other pictures I've seen.
It's just a different kind of black than in the movie. The movie had a deep Denzel Washington/Annika Noni Rose black, where in this drawing she's more of a softer Halle Berry/Barack Obama kind of black.
