So after within 3 weeks (1 week learning Zbrush basics, concepting and researching, then 2 weeks retopologising, rigging, posing, and rendering), I have made my very first 3d character! As this is an original character I really pressured myself into doing the best as I could because seeing him in solid form like this was almost a dream come true. This is Emrick. He's part of a race with genetically weak constitution and traditionally contracts demons as a means of survival. His demon is an aggressive shadow-based wolf which bleeds into his physical body as the contract ages. Yay.

I also pushed myself to make the hair as best as I can based on my limited experience for fear of having him left bald. So I'm really glad he has hair now.
Inspiration was drawn from Final Fantasy, Howl's Moving Castle, Kingdom Hearts - a lot of assassin-based fashion and shadow demon-based things.

With help with the lighting from my teacher, this was the final product . Hoping to experiment a lot more to also create my other characters in 3D. I'd appreciate any constructive criticism too!

Tools used: Maya, Zbrush, and rendered with Renderman
