You know: the events of Keeping it Together made me hate Peridot. It may have been just spur of the moment along with the combination to her, Garnet's and My reaction to The Cluster. But after the moment died, the way she said "DIE DIE DIE" in Friend Ship and the how she sounded and now looks in Catch and Release, I finally opened up to her. Maybe because she's now Bizarro Vegeta.
And the toilet scene. That was a riot.

Steven seemed to treat the robonoid's nicely. Also people can feel some type of compassion for something that's not living. I would think that robots in general would spark some kind of compassion, since they can move and make sound, mimicking something that is living, even when it is not.

I got a theory that maybe the Homeworld Gems were once noble beings, but an interloper invaded their kingdom or whatever as an adviser, slowly began telling lies to the higher ups which, in turn, lead to everything that happened up to recent events.

That, or it could be a case of "power corrupts" with the Gem leadership(i.e.: the "Diamond Authority")... or just the Homeworld Gems going to über-extreme measures to perpetuate their species.
