I made this minor race portrait for Star Control: Origins - Syndicate DLC.

A race that supplements its limited vocal communication with ritual drumming, and a design that plays with the trope of an alien race that has a mask culture (similar to the Utwig), but this time the masks are made of wood and are ridiculously big. Only the long, frog-like limbs provide some clues about Thak anatomy, but the rest of their appearance is almost a complete mystery.

I think the core idea behind the design is good enough for even a main Star Control sequel race, even if the specifics aren't that well refined, but StarDock didn't use it.
