That's what I said to one of my classmates after he said Mega Sceptile sucks. I actually found a handy use for the ability: if you're in a double battle and you have your second Pokemon use Discharge or Parabolic Charge (which attacks all Pokemon), it will absorb the one that hits it and increase its own Special Attack.

Not bad. I tend to lead with a Mega Charizard Y and a Blaziken with Speed Boost, holding a Heat Rock. Sun boosted Heat Waves and Flare Blitzes all around, with the occasional single turn Solar Beam for those pesky Water types. And no, I don't play using tiers. I just use shit that I like. Besides, it's fun as hell to sweep a kid with nothing but Uber Legendaries. Did that with an Aegislash.
