Yeah the initial forms aren't that memorable, but that Mega evo is absolutely amazing, and definitely something that will make trainers turn their heads.
Reading the typing and description, it seems well-thought out. I just feel that no features stand out (personally anyway) til it goes Mega.

I agree, they're not the most interesting starters til the mega. I kind of made this starter to be like my gen 1 style (like bulbasaur) so it was meant to stay fairly bland, but I understand what you mean!

I just had an idea! What if, like there is a Charizardite X and Y, there was a Forelkite Cherry and Forelkite Apple. Both different kinds of blossoms! Like, the one you just made would be Cherry and another could be Apple. The apple could have white leaves pink blossoms too!

I checked, and it seemed as though the leaves looked white and flowers more pink instead. Maybe the apple blossom form could be a little based more on defense, since apples are a bit bulkier than cherries.
