Flutterby - The Flutter pokemonType: Bug
"Flutterby are considered a symbol of spring. When the season comes, they seem to appear out of nowhere in their hundreds and fill meadows with their many colours."
Bug pokemon are often used to teach how evolution works. caterpillar > coccoon > flying bug. Unfortunately, this means the second-stage has to be the most powerful, and it never has room to grow.
This means butterflies are quite ugly in the pokemon world as they're a second stage and therefore meant to be powerful and strong, not cute. It also means they're not very common, even though they are in real life.
Using Combee as inspiration, as he doesn't have a larval or pupa stage, I created this. I wanted a weak, common butterfly.
Also I have a hate for terrible second-stage butterfly/moth designs, they all look the same and never very original.
If It can be done technically - I want Flutterby to be like Spinda, and have the wing colours be random. It would be nice if every trainer you encountered had a different coloured one.

In my opinion it looks too basic without any form of limbs. Actually reminds me of a cigarette...maybe add some small pattern on the wings too (though I don't know what's on their backside).

The colours to, are really nice - it's a mix of the cuteness, of normal pokemon with the weakness
of Bug Type's
It's very creative, however maybe have it branch of into to different stages, like a male and a female one. With the female being more defensive or something
