When Cynder was Corrupted and twisted into the monsterous Terror of the Skies, these strange patterns appeared all over her body.
Are they ment to symbolize something demonic? no

Left, Her necklace, given by her mother right before she died. Corrupted by the dark magic, went from silver to iron. and the patterns filled over the circular indentation.

Cynder's soul was heavily damaged and broken from the Dark Master's influence. The grey patterns on her body are meant to represent the broken pieces/ parts that are closest to her Soul. Each piece has a great significance. Her memories of life may be different but her soul will always be the same.

On the left, Cynder as seen during The Eternal Night, in my story, she never lost the necbrace chocker she wore. The Rhombus (Diamond) right between her eyes, is meant to represent her free will, under the dark master's influence. Even after Spyro saved her from the collapsing convexity realms, the symbol remained apparent even though she wasn't a monster anymore. This is because Cynder, her mind and soul, wasn't sure if darkness was still in control of her or not. However, after Spyro had defeated Gaul at the Well of Souls, that is when she was sure she was in total control, Inside the time crystal, the symbol slowly faded into nothingness, which is the reason why we don't see it during Dawn of the Dragon.

Underneath her eyes, The horrible things she's seen. through those eyes, behind her conscious imprisonment, Forced to witness every single murder that she unwillingly caused. Forever haunted by those memories., In rebirth however, With her memories being locked away and being reborn, the patterns began to fuse together, (Right) Her soul is being healed, the broken pieces being mended together.
