Oh, I think I misunderstood your stamp.
By now...I think I´m definitely going to buy SoulSilver, and then avoid the newer generations in the game. More easily said than done, but I miss Cyndaquil too much to ignore the remakes.

i can agree i remember trying to catch all 150 pokemon then the next but after the 3rd gen i was like O.O WAIT A MINUIT!!! then the 5th gen I'm like: this isn't poemon anymore, weres the pokemon i grew up with in 2000

I like to think of Pokemon as Earth's animals. Very vast. Millions of different species, and still some undiscovered. I like that they keep making more. =3

Although some may say that it's getting annoying with all the new pokemon, I prefer them to add more pokemon because it adds more variety. If we stopped a Johto like many say they should have, everybody would have a lavitar and a dragonite on their team.

Gen 4: +107 Pokemon
Gen 5: No way of knowing IT CHANGES EVERY TIME but possibly between 100 and 135.

My comments on Pokémon in general:
I prefer GenI but I like some features and Pokémon from newer generations. I keep up to date on Pokémon info while playing my only Pokémon game (Blue). My strategy has become more like "gotta see 'em all" as opposed to "Gotta Catch 'em All" which means I still don't have enough Pokémon for the Flash HM in Blue yet, though I've beaten the Elite Four six times. I don't like the GenII games much but HeartGold and SoulSilver seem pretty cool and have apparently changed the one thing that made me totally dislike GenII.
Sorry about the rambling. I guess this proves I'm a Pokémaniac.

"Gotta see 'em all" is the Pokédex scoring system in GenIV. Basically you have to have SEEN every single Pokémon. My GenI attempt at "gotta see 'em all" resulted in 9 Pokémon caught (including Mewtwo) and 134 seen. (I actually made up the name myself but it makes sense.)
The main thing I dislike about GenII is TM24. In most games, TM24 is Thunderbolt. In GenII, TM24 is Dragonbreath. That means it isn't Thunderbolt. And Thunderbolt is a main part of my general strategy in Pokémon. Therefore, I don't like GenII.
Another thing I dislike about GenII (though this one is more minor) is the weak Gyms. The first Gym has no Pokémon over level 10. Most other games have at least a level 12 in the first Gym.
And if you thing the games are bad when it comes to Gotta Catch 'em All, you should see the TCG. My collection has 665 cards that are actually Pokémon (as in, not Trainers or Energys), and there are many Pokémon that aren't represented, including Charizard, Lugia, Heatran, Rotom, Shellos, and Groudon. And that's only the ones I can think of off the top of my head. I definitely have a Pikachu, though. I actually have 9 different Pikachu cards.

From what I can tell Game Freak wants G5 to be better than Diamond and Pearl, so if that is indeed the case we could end up with around 600+.

Not sure exactly. Of course, I always defend the Hoenn region either way it goes. Pokemon Emerald was my first pokemon game (got it when i wuz 7) But honestly... I don't really have an opinion about adding pokemon ^^ I buy all the games anyway, new pokemon or not
