When him and I were discussing and talking about Primal Rage with enthusiasm, there were something that we both agreed on.

"Why don't we design Primal Rage characters in our own ways and show them to the audience?'

The idea involved with us redesigning the characters like Sauron and Arik with different species of dinosaurs or other cultural aspects that we commonly haven't seen on the game. Arik and Sauron, whom were my favorite, became the first out of all of them,

When it comes to Sauron, I was thinking of Tyrannosaurus Rex, but much bulkier, and massive look like Vastatosaurus Rex in King Kong 2005. The skulls were surely based on T-Rex, But I wanted to imply more straight and thick design--like meat grinding hammer. As for dody, well, when I saw the redesign of Sauron done by other impressive artists for awhile on the internet, and they described Sauron as as obese character with gluttonous design, and really, while their design is really impressive, I decided to take different way for designing him. I wanted him to look more muscular or thick tank-like design with relatively sunken belly, which implies that he has been dangerously working out a lot with his feast and reign, and therefore, has power inside him--like Bodybuilders or professional MMA fighters.

As for Arik--Whom is so small in this artwork--is based on Aztec culture and their wearings and weapons. Based on the character of Sauron, we thought Aztecian civilization would sit quite well for Sauron and Arik. SO. I designed his pyramid and the Human sacrifice the pyramid where hints human sacrifices for Sauron with blood, and also, Arik holding his Macuhuiti sword as the leader of the clan who serves sauron.
