Description
Vast, unclearI plunge deep into
its riches, exploring piles
of treasure, cold and flashy
it appears bought into the
light, it falters, turning
green and devious, bubbling
in my hands, slipping into my sleeves
bounding me into a life of servantdom.
Straining, gasping, trying unsuccessfully
to get untangled. I choke, and it takes
its opportunity to seize me.
I'm breathless once more, my eyes
deep and murky green, my body sways
to the tide. I'm no longer human, but a
part of Mother Earth herself.

I like this! Beautifully written. I too fear drowning because I cannot swim.
