Description
Left: Junkie tree.
A very common plant all over Moita though it isent a true tree. It is a large meaty bulb plant(think Fennel and onion).
They are cultivated in Moita and is one of their exports.
It requires constant moisture to grow but grows rather fast if its requirements are met and reach harvestable size after 2 years.
It is easily pushed over, the roots and top cut off and the bulb is transported over to the borders into Muthuruh to dry.
It will halve its sized after a few weeks in the sun and is now easyer to cut in smaler pieces for transport.
Fresh it is very juicy and starts off with an odd dry taste and feeling to your tongue.
The after taste is slightly sour but refreshing.
Dried up it can be made into a sour powder or soaked to regain texture and most of its taste, though the dry taste and feeling are more dominant then. Often used as an addon to side dishes or desserts.
The largest bulbs can be planted again for new plants.
It is called Junkie tree as it got a strange behaviour. If the water levels go down or the air is getting dry its top will start shaking.. Spray it with water and it stops!

Right: Clingy weeper
A simple little tree that have close relatives that origin from the red forrests of Ferralion.
This one may come from seeds brought by animals or people.
It will only grow on rocks planted into the soil(though sometimes on other trees as well).
It is like it doesnt trust its own roots to keep it up.
