Guys... you did so much for me this year. You dragged me through it when I was down, and you made me feel as much joy as I can possibly carry

You were there with those caring words when Avalik just committed suicide, and even though I couldn't find the words back then to reply on that comment, it really did something to me, and made me accept it was her choice, and that I shouldn't take it as my fault of not seeing it coming. That was something that really stood out, and all of the other little conversations I had with you over time... I enjoyed them, and I felt somewhat connected with you. Talking about your past, how you stand in life and such. About art. You are someone who is here on DA who I could go to when I would wish to talk about something, because your view on life is a wellconsidered one, and it really helps just chatting with you.
I really appreciate it you are here Lupus, and maybe you don't think you really did something to me, but you certainly did
So... this is my little thank you gift to you ^^

Well, I'm glad it did mean something, and that it helped you come to terms with her suicide, because it isn't something anyone should have to experiance. I find it strange though that you'd want to hear my opinions about things because no one outside of DA does... the strange thing is on DA I'm somone, in real life I'm no one. But you are right, I am being silly about it.
It's hard to know what affect you have on people when you can only understand yourself. But for once I do understand. No friend of mine has given me any sort of gift for my birthday or christmas, but you not only give but do something completely out of the blue. Thanks, I really appreiciate it.

Maybe you just haven't met the right persons in real life...
you see, when I decided to start an account on DA, I saw immediately that half of this place was filled with people that shared my interests, my loves and everything else.
On school, my friends think I'm weird, unique, but wholly different from them.
On DA, I'm one of the many, you have some kind of 'backup' on here, people like you, they resemble you, they want to talk with you about the same subjects you like to talk about. It's a different world. And when you need support, you get it. DA feels sometimes warmer than the cruel outside, I agree with that.
I'm really glad you like it so much ^^
And that I could do this for you.
Lupus, you are really important, and I'm really enjoying the fact that you finally are able to open your eyes and see that yourself.
hmmhmm, that's a really good thing. You are finally ready to break free from that horrible past you've been stuck in. I'm pretty sure 2011 will bring you a lot of good in your life ^^

Yeah, looking back at it the people I've met on the whole have been pretty lousy. Hopefully if I get into university I'll meet some better people. If not, it's going to be a long degree.
At school, my "friends" think I'm being weird for the sake of it. I whish I could show them how they act...
Well, because of all the events of last year, DA isn't a 'backup'. It's the place where my friends are, and the one place I can express myself, both in art and otherwise. But at the moment your online life is meant to be of secondary worth to your real one, but as I've said that isn't the case for me. But's it true, it does seem a better place here, I don't get kicked about or treated as second rate with no real worth. At school I'm just another student, at home I'm the youngest, and most 'friends' just want me to do what they like all the time. I hate their guts now just as much as I did then, and to tell you the truth it's been great having a few weeks not hearing from them, them speaking to me or seeing them.
But yeah, as I said it's the first real gift I've been given by a friend, so it means a lot.
Hmm, I hope so. If I end up not going to uni this year it's a whole year at home, more specifically in my room as I try to get away from my family. But I hope so, I hope so...

Ah well, that's life. Funny thing about this thread is how old it is! Things with the people I know in school kinda resolved itself. They're just different. Got different intrests, different ways of doing stuff. I mean, I wish they were more involved, but I don't exactly talk about my writing. Thing is, DA still is the only creative outlet I have. I know that only one of my friends has read Storm Hunter, and that took him a while. In a way, I'm glad they don't pay that much attention to what I do here. I don't care about my school either, apart from a few nice teachers who I'll miss, the majority of my time there wasn't useful.
Haha, maybe you're right about that, maybe in a few years time. I wouldn't count on it, my lack is sorely lacking, but it's always been like that. We'll see.
Oh well, it's a year at home, but at least I can buy whiskey, being £18 in about a week. That and I intend to sort out my room, make it a bit nicer that how it is at the moment. Throw some of the crap out, move things around...

hmm, I'm actually done with my school now too. At first I thought I'd miss it a lot, but now I'm just through it with all the same people and such. It's a good thing I can make a fresh start now.

You'd be surprised of what adults actually LIKE about them. Even for a short while.
I took barely a 10 minute nap when I was up at the other campus earlier last week before a meeting. It works wonders to recharge your mind for that short amount of time : )

It just helps rejuvenate the mind.
All day most of the time, I'll feel pretty restless about my energy levels, and... I at little times use those energy shots, but they're EXTREMELY unhealthy for you, so that's why I don't use them... as much (like... maybe once a month... or not).
I'll feel pretty desperate as hell wanting to go to sleep, regardless of my assignments, but... by taking a nap, it'll give you the sense of relaxing some, better than WAITING... A LONG... TIME... to get that relaxation at least a little.
Trust me; try it sometime. Go for like a 15-30 minute nap (whenever you feel sleep deprived), have an alarm set-up to 'wake you up' (you don't have to FALL asleep for the nap; just relax your mind... push everything that bothers you aside). I did that a few days ago (well... it was 3 hours for me lol) ... and I was able to stay up as late as 3 in the morning, reading over a goddamn reference guide (lol).
You'll like it once you try it; trust me : )
