PERSONAL INFORMATIONPersonality: Periwinkle is painfully naive. Despite living in Dismay for the last few years, the young sundrake has no idea of the shadier details of life there, and has a sunny outlook on life. They insist on seeing the best in everyone, no matter the evidence to the contrary. Luckily, the citizens of Dismay see the naivete as an exceptionally clever front and avoid them like the plague, except to chase them out of other’s territory.
Rather clumsy, Periwinkle has a habit of stumbling into places she shouldn't be, or situations she would rather avoid. Luckily for her, she hangs around Black Opal’s shop and runs errands for the cynic shade, and most regular denizens of Dismay would rather avoid the large shopkeeper.
Periwinkle is very good at solving problems, usually by pointing out odd, out-of-the-box solutions that most people wouldn’t even consider. She likes to play, but generally amuses herself due to the lack of others her age.

History: Periwinkle started out life in Hot Water Cavern, and then for reasons she either doesn’t remember or refuses to share, ended up in Dismay at the age of 10. She wandered around a bit, getting scraps where she could, and doing work for older denizens of the underground city. As a small dragonet, she could get places larger dragons couldn’t, so she often went on missions to explore semi-collapsed caves and crevices.
After a few months of that, some of her procured goods from said tunnels attracted the attention of a jeweller called Black Opal. Periwinkle had seen shades before, and decided that Black Opal’s constantly dark mist fit her personality perfectly. A grumpy but fair dragon, Black Opal began to hire Periwinkle regularly to search the outer reaches for odd gems and gemstones.
Black Opal began to let her sleep in the premises of her shop, apparently deciding that the little dragonet was a fair investment.

RELATIONSHIPSBlack Opal: Periwinkle has an absolutely positive opinion of Black Opal, despite the shade’s insistence that she is not that great. Periwinkle thinks it’s just modesty.

EXTRASRumours/Reputation: Most denizens of Dismay have convinced themselves--with the help of a few well-placed rumours-- that the naive little dragonet is actually a criminal mastermind, and the naivete is just an act to lure in the unwary. As such, these rumours combined with the eye Black Opal keeps out for her serves to keep the little creature from most trouble.
