Description So everyone is really excited about the new Marvel Infinity War movie that's come out. Some folks have already seen it. Personally I haven't yet. The family and I are waiting for things to die down a bit before going and seeing it. We've been big fans of the whole Marvel Cinimatic Universe franchise, and to say that we're kind of sad to see it (kinda) end is an understatement. There is a lot of doom and gloom surrounding this movie. Lots of rumors of deaths of lots of characters, and frankly, I'm not sure I want my youngest to go see it.

Don't get me wrong, we knew that things were building to this the minute that Josh Brolin showed his mug as Thanos on the big screen. However, that doesn't mean that I need to subject my eight year old to the deaths of the heroes and heroines that she has grown fond of for the last ten years. (Considering that she's only eight, really it's only about five years, but still, that's pretty much all she's known, and to have them stripped away... )

So...yeah...I have some reservations. I feel like I would be a bad parent if I take her to it, yet she wants to go to it so badly that I'd feel bad if I DIDN'T take her to it, because we've taken her to all the other Marvel movies. This is litterly a double edged sword, kind of like what our heroes face above.

They know they are outmatched. They know they probably face certain death. However, without them, there isn't ANYTHING even attempting to stop something like Thanos from destroying what they hold dear. So, you fight for what you believe in, for what you love, and you do your best until you can't do it anymore.

That's being a hero.

Hope you all like the picture, and that it gave you all a good chuckle. As usual, stay safe, God bless, and as always,

Lots of
~LQ

Tora the Tigress is care of and is used with permission. Her new Super Soldier look is a design that I came up with, but may be something that sticks around.

Apollo is care of and is used with permission. His new look is a design that I came up with, because really, who wants a hero flying around in jeans and football pads?

Aura Lockhaven, the Enchantress of Heartshorn is care of and is used with permission. Her current outfit is one that I came up with, and he liked it so much that he kept it. Woohoo!

Art and Lady Quantum is care of yours truly   and can only be used with express permission. Yeah, yeah, she has on her normal super suit. So shoot me. She can normally be found patroling the streets and skies of   in the city of   All rights reserved.

It’s not about winning or losing, it’s about doing what you can IF you can.

In Peter David's wrap up for his excellent run of Supergirl he had the silver age Kara Zor-el meet and work with the Linda Danvers Supergirl. Kara wanted to know/learn what made a hero. "Don't be afraid of being afraid." was the lesson after a huge deadly battle upon which the fate of the universe was held.

Well, if your characters don’t feel fear then they don’t seem very three dimensional, and since I’m trying to work in 3D it’s counterproductive to just make everyone a Mary Sue who can take on anything and never bat an eye. (There’s jokes in there.) People being heroic no matter the odds is just one thing that makes a person a hero.

First off, that look you designed for Tora.                 I will now be consulting you on all further costume designs prior to finalizing anything!

I loooooooove your look for Tora, she still maintains that solid super soldier build I love, that adorable neko that everybody loves, but you made her look like she fit in your universe. That I think is the coolest part of all!

Thank you so much for including her in this tribute. The movie was amazing, but I can understand your concern taking your little one. If you have questions let me know. I'll keep it spoiler free for sure. I've heard that you can hit like a mack truck.

It’s always nice when the version you make of someone’s character is appreciated, but that you think so highly of it and my abilities warms my heart.

Yeah, but Tora is a heck of a lot cuter, and nowhere near as obnoxious.

Scrappy-Doo -- the Wesley Crusher of the animation world.
Josie McCoy -- the Tora of the animation world. Similar coloring and profession, too.

Now I'm picturing Katie and Tora on like some Calvin and Hobbes style shenanigans. Complete with Katie getting pounced on, though of course Katie wouldn't even budge.

Trust me on this, you want to see it now. You DO NOT want anything spoiled for this movie. If Marvel sticks with the ending that they made then it will be the ballsiest thing that they've done yet

Lady-Quantum In reply to DarkHeroineCorruptor [2018-05-03 19:43:33 +0000 UTC]

Nope. My girls are right at the age where they basically grew up with these movies and characters, so seeing something happen to them really got to them. It became emotional for them, which I think is what the whole point of doing it like this is. Sooner or later everyone has to learn to deal with losing another person, I just didn’t think it would be super heroes in a movie that would be what they would deal with.

Lol! If they’re watching GoT they kind of get what they deserve. I stopped watching that by season two because I noticed that there was no way to form any real attachment to the show through characters because ultimately the characters kept getting killed off. Not that it wasn’t done well, or anything, but not my cup of tea.

Can it even be considered Avengers 4 if it's basically just a second part of this one?

They're very hush-hush about the title. I hope it's nothing cheesy like Avengers 4: Infinity Reloaded. Or "Journey Back to 3".

Personally, if it were "Avengers 4: Rumble at 18th and Sixth" I'd still watch it for laughs.
