-Backstory -

Kithood

Willow never met her father, she was born shortly after the massacre where slash was killed, leaving her mother alone to raise the three siblings. As a young kit Willow was very curious, often getting into trouble with the older league members as she would explore around camp with her two brothers. As she grew older, her mother seemed to spend a lot more time with the healer Cobalt, Willow and Dusk didn’t mind but it seemed to annoy spade, to his sister’s confusion.

Fledglinghood

Sasha wasn’t a particularly outstanding fledgling, she often struggled with fighting, although even at a young age she was a very fast runner, able to outpace both of her young brothers and often came up with hunting tactics that earned her praise from her supervisor. however when it come in reality to catching prey, she never managed to outperform her brothers or the other fledglings. she was particularly bad at fighting, always wanting to run away rather than to stand and fight.
as her fledglinghood progressed, the tensions between spade and Iceview rapidly grew, to the point where after having a huge argument, spade stormed out of the league, joined the clans, and was never seen by willow again.

Iceview was devastated by the loss, and though she tried to support her remaining children the best she could, the she cat ended up becoming quite distant to her two kids, seeming only to be able to open up to the healer if anycat at all.
with her mother more distant than ever, and the horrible reality of what staying in the league would mean for her settling in, Willow started to become more and more distressed and jumpy. her only comfort was her brother, he had made it his mission to keep her safe, and finally, after Dusk's own brother attacked him out on patrol (now going by Windpaw), Willow finally couldn't take it anymore. the she cat made a break for twolegplace in the middle of the night, her brother very quickly caught up to her and she begged him to come with her. he was reluctant only for a second before agreeing to come with her. telling the she cat that he didn't plan on breaking his promise.

it took the two cats the rest of the night to make it to twolegplace, and with the help of some local kittypets (despite them being hesitant at first), the two were lucky enough to find homes relatively close to each other. Willow was adopted by a young teacher who had recently settled down in the area with her husband, and Dusk was picked up by a relatively elderly man who was living out his retirement alone, after working as a builder for 50 years or so.

Willow (now Sasha), was unfortunately separated from her brother for around a month at the beginning, his twolegs wanted to make sure he wouldn't run away amongst other things, he was also, unbeknownst to Sasha, undergoing minor surgery at the vet's to sterilize him and screen him for any diseases. Sasha's owners were far less cautious, only fitting her with a new collar and letting her into the back  garden after a week or so.

it was then when sasha started to get to know Alexander. He had been one of the kittypets to help the two young cats in the first place, despite being initially scared of dusk. However the tom was now living right next to Sasha. as the she cat was completely along without her brother, she was a bit of an emotional mess. through the fence, she confided in him, telling him everything she had endured up till they had met, and to her surprise the tom listened and tried his hardest to make her feel safe in her new home.
It wasnt long before Sasha started to fall for the red tom hard, and after a slightly roundabout confession and some courting, the two finally became official mates. They were content for a long time together, and it was around when the news of the end of the supposed war the wild cats were having came to circulate around the kittypets living adjacent to the two when Sasha finally realised she was expecting kits.
