I went to Richmond Park the other day (mainly for the deers), and they certainly weren't in short supply. The park had roughly 700 deers altogether.. they burried themselves pretty deep into the forest though so it took about 3 hours to find them! Anyway there were hundreds (of what I call bambi's) just hanging around but the annoying thing is that they weren't tame enough to let us get too close, unlike the bigger stags. I saw these two, and the young stag standing over the younger one almost as in a protection act. So sweet!Enjoy!

They are fallow deer, you can tell by their colour and their antlers: the way the prongs all sort of converge into that larger part of the antler at the top

I never understood why dear are so timid and scared. around where I live they are the biggest animals and they have absolutely no predators (except for man that is)

Perhaps they have predators in other parts of the world and evolution has taught them that their flee-rather-than-fight response is the best course of action?
