Although the Whiphunts are the main breeders of pets, they are not above commercing them with the other Clans. Temnokt pets are enhanced physically and mentally with dark magic, making them stronger and much more intelligent than a regular beast. Whiphunts are very attached to their animals, and so they have created laws against animal cruelty. These animals are undoubtedly loyal to their Temnokt masters, but are openly hostile to humans (unless their masters say otherwise).

Crows are so far the most popular pet. Every Temnokt family has at least one, since they can act as both messengers and companions. Smart but also proud, they're one of the most important means of communications between the Clans and they know it, which has made them rather vain as well. The best way to have a well-behaved crow or raven is to show it the respect it deserves; if not, be prepared for pecking in the head or your items being changed of place.

Wolves are the most second popular pet. Wolves are second in intelligence only to the crows, since unlike the black birds, they are more open emotionally and don't have trouble having their emotions noticed. Like a dog, they're very loving and loyal to their owners, but have their anger spots. Also, they're excellent trackers, surpassing even bloodhounds, catching a scent even in water. Wolves are often used as guardians by the Whiphunts to keep humans from crossing into their borders. If ordered to, Krussian wolves can tear a prey apart in minutes.

Reptiles are more like companion animals. Still, it's harder to gain their affection than mammals, due to being cold-blooded animals. The first days they arrive at a new home, they are distant and tend to hide atop cupboards and under furniture. Both snakes and monitors need to be shown constant love and attention these first days so that they will warm up to their new family. Another alternative is to buy the egg and incubate it, so that the animal will imprint on its owner (said reptile will only attach to that Temnokt, however, and will be shy with any dragon else).

Panthers and felids are similar to earth cats, but with an air of elegance and dignity. They are playful but deadly, often toying with little animals they don't intend to eat.

Firebirds can only be found in the Fireflight Clan, since they refuse to trade them despite the other Clans' petitions. It is forbidden to kill and even pluck a feather from a firebird can be punished with decapitation.
