Star Trek Commbadge Variants. They both are to signify Star Trek Forever. The way that the oval in the first one comes to a fine point is to signify constant motion. That it is neverending. The second one I incorporated an Infinity symbol for the same reason.Star Trek © Paramount

I like the second one a lot. It's fragile looking, but at the same time you know it's strong.
At least, that's what I get out of it :-D
