Once there was a small bird who could not justify its existence with all its flaws. It had heard a rumor about a poisoned lake, that it in truth wasnt poison, but it would change you. The little bird desperately sought the lake for a long time. At last he found it, and filled with fear and anguish he didnt hesitate, and flew straight into the water. But the rumor was false, for as he ascended, he wasnt changed at all. But the water spirits embraced him, and he felt how deeply he belonged in his world just exactly as he was made. So as he saw the forest and his own reflection he was filled with compassion, and swore that he would love and honor his reality for the rest of his life. The only thing that was changed in the deep, was his perception of himself.
