Description Hi guys!

I started work on this one a week ago, but literally had no time to upload it- besides, there wasn't much progress on it for a whole week- but here's what I'm currently working on. It's a commission (for my mom, but even so!) of Lord Krishna and his mother, Yashodha. For those who don't know, Lord Krishna is a huge part of Hindu mythology, and His teachings form most of the Bhagavad Gita. Google it up- it's pretty intense and brilliant!

The reference to this seems to be an oil painting, although I can not trace the artist of it, and nor can I seem to find the link to it! So obviously, I do not own the reference and all the credit for it goes to the original artist. However, it being a painting, it was a little difficult to make out the lines on it.

Also, apparently using watercolour pencils dry makes them clumpy and non-erasable (as is seen on the mother's nose)!

Specifics:
Time taken: So far, around 3-4 hours.

Stuff I used: 5H, 2H, HB and 2B graphite pencils, Derwent colour pencils (Coloursoft and watercolour pencils), kneaded and hard erasers, blending stumps and tissue paper.

Size of the portrait: Around 35 X 24.5 cm

So, what do you think? Let me know! As always, comments, critiques, faves and watches are always, appreciated- especially on WIPs, while I can still make changes!

P.S. Yes, that's an aura around the baby's head.

Thanks!
-S.
