Sometimes it’s painThat lets you know you’re still alive
Sometimes it’s a bane
That helps you to thrive
For often you’re numb
And you want it to end
But you feel so dumb
You haven’t the courage to ascend
You just want to die
And you can’t do it on your own
You don’t understand why
You can’t just turn to stone
It’s what you feel on the inside
It’s what you have to be
You feel bad to have cried
And you just want to flee
And in the end you know your efforts don’t matter
In the end you’ll be gone, so why even try?
It doesn’t take much for your hopes to just shatter
And you wait for the day you can curl up and die
