Description
It was a nice day for a stroll. I looked around as I walked through the trees. The cold air nipped at my skin. What little snow remained crunched under my boots. The sound of squeaks brought my attention to a small group of bunnies hopping in my direction.

They stopped at my feet, a couple landing on top. Confused, I crouched down and asked out loud, "What's the matter?" Of course, the bunnies didn't answer. They actually jumped into my lap, almost like they were trying to hide from something. Then I heard it.

The hissing. It was louder than it should have been. That's when a shadow loomed over me. I looked up and saw the creature. It was a shirtless male with skin so pale, it looked grey. His charcoal hair almost covered his equally colored eyes as he snarled at me, revealing a set of sharp canines.

His face had almost distracted me from the dark, blue and red serpent-like tail that replaced his legs. He looked at me and the bunnies and said, "Looks like my snack has brought me to a meal." I put the bunnies behind me, stood up, and said, "Leave them alone."

The male chuckled and said, "What are you going to do? With you here, the snack means nothing anymore." He then lunged at me, causing me to crouch down and cover my face. Instead of an impact, I heard him yell, followed by a thump. I lowered my arms to see him laying on the ground with an arrow in his shoulder.

Then, I felt an arm pull me away and an accented voice say, "Come on, this way!" I looked at the owner of the voice to see a brown-haired man pulling me in some direction. I assumed it was him who helped, since he was carrying a crossbow. Shaking the thoughts away, I started running by his side.

Suddenly, I felt my feet get pulled out from beneath me. The guy stopped to help me up, but I was quickly dragged away and lifted into the air, hanging upside-down. I looked around and saw the snake-man yank the arrow from his shoulder. His face contorted in anger as he looked at the guy and said, "Why must you always intrude my meal?"

The guy ignored him and looked at me. He said to me, "Don't worry, I'm gonna get you down." The snake-man growled and yelled, "DON'T IGNORE ME." The guy lowered his crossbow and slowly reached into his brown leather jacket. He looked at the snake-man and said, "I wasn't ignoring you. I was being a gentleman, unlike yourself."

The snake-man growled again and went to lunge at him. The guy dodged and threw something at the tail, causing it to let me go. I closed my eyes, awaiting the impact of the ground. It never came. Instead, I had landed in a pair of arms. I opened my eyes and saw the guy.

He was running. I looked back and saw that the snake-man was gone. The guy kept running until we got to a large tree surrounded by bushes. He set me on my feet and looked me up and down, as if checking for wounds. He looked at me and asked, "Are you hurt?"

I shook my head and said, "I don't think so. What was that thing?" The guy said, "That was a Naga. I'll explain more once we get inside." I gave him a confused look. He gestured for me to follow him, which I did. He moved a couple bushes to reveal a hole in the base of the tree. He pointed to it and said, "Ladies first."

I looked at him with hesitation, then slipped in feet first. I was suddenly sliding down different twists and turns. I then landed on a mattress at the end. I shook my head and started to get up, only for the other guy to land on top of me. I groaned, causing the guy to say, "Sorry about that." He got off of me and helped me up.

I looked around and said, "It's quite dark down here. Where are we?" He lit a lantern and said, "It's an underground tunnel I use to get from my place to the forest and back safely." He walked in front of me and said, "It's this way, come on."

We walked in silence for a while until he said, "So, what's your name, lass?" I looked at him and said, "Um, (Y/n) (L/n). Yours?" He smirked and said, "The name's Angus, Angus McLoughlin."
