Description
An entry for the Okami Wii contest done completely in Photoshop 7.0. Obviously based entirely on the resource material except for the words, which took ages to get right (and may yet be too subtle to see properly, in hindsight *sigh*); the red gradient is intended to indicate a rising sun, whereas the green gradient is meant to indicate growing grass being lit by the rising sun above. Amaterasu is leaping over the sun to signify her power as a god. Left the flames off the reflector/mirror – it’s the Infinity Judge/Okitsu now. ^_^ Textured everything except Amaterasu’s line art in honor of the canvas effect in the PS2 version that has apparently been severely reduced in the Wii version. The lack of texture on the line art, as compared to the textured fur, symbolizes Amaterasu’s role as both the painter and the painted – a silent influence in the troubled lives of the oblivious but grateful mortals around her whenever she uses her brush skills to help them as well as herself move forward.
