HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!!!! Here's to another year of being freakin' incredible and amazing and kind and kickass, never let up! Here's her darling Obizuth, one of my favorite characters of hers since she's just so dynamic and fun!

Hope you enjoy this hun, 'cuz I'm rather proud of it! Great way to start off every year, I swear, if I get to just draw ya a gift, 'cuz I love your babies sooooo much and Obizuth was just a freakin' darling and let me draw her oh-so-prettily (I think that she's just happy to be whole, hahaha~ )
Seriously though, Obi was just a dream~
It took me quite a while of messing around to get her pose and her face right, but once I did the lines came easy. Same with the coloring, too; I struggled in SAI for a good hour or two trying to figure out her skin shading (coloring the skin took me 3 hours at least, but I did it all and I picked my colors myself, yeaaah-uh!), and I'm quite satisfied with the final result! It also took much more dynamic lighting and shading than I've done before too, so I'm glad that came out well, too. Only thing that is a little "ah" is how generic she looks, but I'm not sure how to fix that hahaha;;; The final picture was still totally not what I had in mind, I'd originally intended doing much more dynamic perspective work and I'd initially planned on doing a much more complex background, but overall I'm quite happy with these results, and hope that you guys'll like them too. Been a loooong time since I could color digitally and like the results, and it's great to know that I'm still improving! C:

I'm completely in love with the texture of your digital coloring - it's so nuanced, it feels like markers! โฅ And I really dig the composition of this piece, how she fills up the whole page and seems on the verge of bursting out of it!

OMG this is amazing!! The perspective is quite complicated yet you make it look as if it was the most natural pose to draw~
Her face, hands and wings stole my heart! The background has a nice set of colors, they don't distract you from the character.

Ahm, I guess, the only tip I have for this picture would be... I drew it in SAI, so I actually opened up their small mixing palette on the side, and slapped the background blue there. Then, for any shadow I wanted to paint in, I'd actually mix it with a watercolor brush over the blue to get this shade between blue and what I had, so it all blended with the picture...? Um, sorry, was that too confusing? @v@;;

Ahmmmmmmm, well, you can do it on anything really? Doing it on the canvas itself is fine too, and you just need some brush that'll give you a bit of mixing or even just opacity... Ahm, I mean... [link] on the left was my mixing pad... something like that? /probably not being helpful, haha;;
