Description
So, the original for this had some serious issues. Like most modern incarnations, the tubing that rims the wheels/side of the car isn't ridiculously huge, nor do they have so many bolts, nor are the bolts that big, nor are there 2 black tubes that line up perfectly rimming the car. Really, I don't know where they're getting it, but in all of the films and modern 1:1 scale adaptations, it's not there. So, I replaced them with thin metal rubber coated wire (was it that hard, Mattel?). Painted on little red lines for the wire, and painted on the metal bolts. I also painted the boosters in back black, contrary to the actual first movie model, which had them as a dark gunmetal (though they were black in the second movie). I realigned the windows a bit, moved the windshield wipers down, panel lined the rims, moved the front tires adjacent from the body a tad, and did some subtle panel lining which looks like shit in this photo (I think I may have just not seen it in good lighting, oh well). Painted the boxes near the front of the car a dark grey, and painted the tallest piece a bright grey/did the black dots for the scope things.Original: beyondthemarquee.com/wp-contenβ¦
