Part of the Our Paradise universe. Officially known as the "Seven-Point Sword of Knowledge Piercing the Heavens" ("Heaven-Piercing Sword", for short), the emblem was officiated in 9711 PS, upon the foundation of the Tekgnos Federation. Originally, the "sword" represented the knowledge derived from the Seven Indices, and its piercing of this representation of the mysterious Eye of Knowledge represented the ultimate divine source of this knowledge. The Eye of Knowledge appeared in 9611 PS, where it revealed to the Seven Elders of a small group of villages in the Hideqqel continent, a fraction of the secrets of the universe. The Elders immediately went to writing down these revelations in seven Indices, which in the early days, were held as sacred work from the gods.

The Tekgnos Federation was eventually founded a hundred years later, after the people used the knowledge in these Indices to advance their technological ability. For generations since then, the Eye of Knowledge was worshipped, and a Church of Wisdom proved to be very prevalent since the very beginning. Somewhere down the line, however, a radical philosopher and scientist who established the principle of uniformitarianism, and eventually, the idea of the supernatural became something scoffed at in Tekgnos society. The Seven Indices, once considered holy, became items of derision, the revelations of the Seven Elders mocked as fairy tales, and the Church of Wisdom ostracised.

Today, the Tekgnos Federation is a naturalistic secular society that doggedly pursues scientific knowledge, using the assumptions that the universe exists, that the universe is orderly, and that the universe must be investigated, all derived from the same Indices that are today ironically ridiculed as old wives' stories. This pursuit is led by the Seven Wise Men, a group of the nation's top scientists pursuing eternal life. Today, the emblem means something very different. The "sword" represents the combined knowledge of the Tekgnos people, as acquired by the power of science, and its piercing of the Eye of Knowledge represents their overcoming of any obstacle to this knowledge, even if it is the heavens (religion) themselves.
