Inspiration: Everybody's favourite eldritch abomination squid deity, Cthulhu, by HP Lovecraft; also the Pirate Jolly Roger

Once again, it's from the Open Blue setting, which I'm involved in, here: [link]

This is a Jolly Roger (pirate flag) that substitutes the traditional human skull with an imagined skull belonging to Kukulu, almighty, unforgiving God of the Sea. It's not a typical Jolly Roger one would find in Arckenia (the main setting). Rather, it's more of a thematic, out of character thing used for the site itself. That's not to say that there isn't any pirate faction using it. With the vast diversity of pirates in Arckenia, it's entirely possible that some culty crews have taken up this emblem as their own, to show their devotion to the Sea God. Not that Kukulu itself is actually partial to worshipers, or anything. All humans are equally tiny and pathetic subcreatures to Kukulu, which regards them as nothing more than entertainment to watch whenever it gets bored enough to actually pay attention to their activities.
