Inspiration: A dream I had a few months ago

Part of the Our Paradise universe.

Though there are a great many gods who claim to be in possession of great knowledge, the greatest of them all is a being whose avatar is known only as the Eye of Knowledge. First sighted several thousand years ago in 4792 PS, immediately prior to the destruction of a powerful nation to the far east of the Prath Continent, the Eye has made very sparse appearances throughout history. But each appearance always leaves a giant mark on history. Its most recent manifestation was a little over seven centuries ago in 9611 PS, which is believed to be at least indirectly responsible for the rise of the Tekgnos Federation in the southern reaches of the Hiddeqel Continent. The Federation has since proven itself to be one of the most powerful nations in the world, and indeed admits to its roots in the Eye by including a representation of it in their official emblem. As to the nature of the Eye itself, however, even deities struggle to understand. Thus it would not be surprising if the Eye of Knowledge, or perhaps the entity it represents, is actually a force beyond "mere" gods."
