Sketch and early plot stuff regarding Battalion from the Inherent Universe hero group, Brigand Catch. Battalion is one of my favorite characters to muse on. There's countless unbreakable rules he has to follow and plenty of weird possibilities involved with his powers but he is the most laid back person on any battlefield. Since he can call on future and past versions of himself he's never alone and always has instant backup that knows his moves and is all in for pretty much any kind of conflict. The unspoken rule that dupes never give info to the present version of Battalion or bring it back when they return to their own time is a safeguard against toying with time unnecessarily and has developed into an autonomic response. When Battalion appears at the request of another Battalion adrenaline takes over and the dupe focuses on the moment, pushing away any concerns from their time of origin, and when Battalion returns from a time jump his short term memory fades quickly like it does with dreams. The anomaly (the Rogue Battalion) has a much more developed origin and arc now and is named Sol (he is also fun to write because he's the opposite of Battalion in attitude and approach to situations and carries the "shame" of coming from the worthless care free Battalion with dramatic flare).
