love the shading around the eyes, the color in this is good too

the neck looks a bit wonky to me for some reason, still a lot better then i can do, so throwing stones in glass houses and all.

Just focusing of the basic shapes that make a sword sheath and try to draw that first. Get the proportioning right before anything, then add detail - and if you wish - some texture. Work in layers, that always makes things easier.
