1.5 hour study I did this evening. The reference I used was a screenshot I took from one of @foxguardians' videos (of a vixen named Belle).

I experimented with some of my other brushes I have, to mixed results. I’ve been wondering if I should finally bite the bullet and purchase some other brushes because I’m not sure if only using the ones I have made is holding my art back.

I was going to make this into a TikTok but I got really into painting towards the end so I don’t have enough footage XD. Similarly, I was originally just going to keep this to a 30 minute study but then I wanted to work on it more.

Admittedly, I’m still really not good at painting fur. I want to do some more studies that are specifically fur-based so I can learn how I want to paint it.

I'm not sure about uploading this to be honest because, whilst I am generally happy with how this came out, I know parts (like the fur) still look rough…But I thought I would upload it so it could be something to look back on when I can eventually paint better than this.

Also my laptop is annoying, from full charge I can only paint for about 2 hours, and I started this at about half charge, so I had to stop after an hour and then wait until it had charged some more to finish it.

Funny how I ended up changing the angle of her head and body. As I started off making this for a ‘doing a study in 30 minutes’ TikTok I didn’t spend too long on the proportions, so that’s why they are a bit off. 😅

Anyway, I hope you enjoy. Hopefully I’ll be doing some more studies soon.
