Description
A gift for someone I admire.I wish I had more time to work on this piece, really because it definitely feels like it could use more work. A digital patterned background perhaps?
Suggestions are welcome!

Nicely done : ) The poses and clothing all reflect characters' personalities too!
In term of techniques, I think the shades (i.e. shades in cloth or on face) can be a bit more pronounced, and Renji's arm is tad big too long. Adding more shadows in general (i.e. on the floor, in the sofa, under Urahara's feet) may also help bring out the characters a bit more, but you may be going for the more 2D look.
For background suggestion, I thinks something with gradient would give a slick feel that goes well with the theme.
Is the center piece a window? a promo poster? I haven't followed Bleach for awhile so pardon me if it suppose to be obvious :' (

The colors and poses came out really nice, though in terms of background, I think something that had more pronounced shading might improve the general ambience. Ever seen "the Rocketeer"? Makes me think of that.
Since the vibe I'm getting is that they're at some type of club, lighting is my key thing here. And I think it would also help Ishida blend in a little better. In a white room where everyone else is wearing either white or yellow (or blue) he stands out more.
The perspective in the center kind of confuses me a little, but then again, I was never any good at it. And one last thing, is that a table? Maybe stick some drinks on it.

It's a really good concept that you had going here, but as a few people have already pointed out, it still could use some more work, especially on the background and the shading.
What you could do to get the proper feel of the setting is to google for pictures (or go through *tracyjb and study the color palettes of their lackadaisy illustrations).
Don't be afraid to be strong with your shades and shadows, because the stronger contrasts is what will round out the characters more.

Wow, interesting idea! I never knew the Bleach characters went so well with the Roaring Twenties nightclub look.
As for the unfinished look, I think contrast and focal points are the main things to go for. Right now, everyone blends in with the background. Rather than adding more colors, I think a lighting adjustment would help bring the others out a lot more. Perhaps a darker background with a slight glow from the stage may help bring the foreground out. Bringing shadow to the floor in front of the stage would help make Ichigo's head more clear.
Anyway, I still like this idea. Rukia looks like she could be up on that stage with the Rockettes or something! Great job with this piece!

It reminds me from that scene from that Indiana Jones movie, errrr Temple of Doom I think, so anyway it reminds me of that.
