Oh this is amazing, and also in NY, which is on my bucket list of cities to visit.

I like these pictures that show the hidden places of the city - alleyways, subway tunnels, the spaces in between structures which no one visits.

The structures at the back - buildings? Chimneys? look like they're a frame taken out of the Soviet movies of the 20s and 30s, but the front of the picture reveals the current era.
