I've had the rug yanked away beneath my feet,All doors slammed in my face, locked
Set out on my own to battle-
The demons, the monsters, the creatures that rip at my soul like it's something worthless to devour
I let them have their fun, occasionally
But they were never fully satisfied
They wanted all of me:
My strength, my courage, my hope, my will to fight
But I refused to be torn down completely
I took a deep breath, then fought with all my might
The demons won't have me
The monsters won't break me
The creatures won't kill me
