Try to study realism, and draw objects or people around you. It doesn't matter if it is hard or if it's not Sonic related, it helps you draw better in general. Most of what I learned is by observing the world around me and drawing them. <3
Just don't overwhelm yourself, start small then as you get more confident and better try harder things.
The things I have yet to try are cars and buildings- I hate drawing them. xD
I used to have problems with humans but now I'm decent at them.. with a few issues of feet and connecting the body to the head properly.
But I'm not amazing though.. And if you want anytime you have trouble you can ask me, heck anyone could but they don't too often.
It just may take me awhile to reply. <3

I just did layer and layers of the same color with a lighter color in the middle, very simple but tedious. |D
