Real proud of this one. This was for the Art World Cup 2015
Lianz is in the cubebrush shrine where the ancients used to practice dangerous sacrificial magic. As an aspire necromancer she thought it was the best place to further her skills. however upon arrival her enchanted masked and armor started resonating with the mystical orbs left behind by the ancients.
The orbs are a defense system left behind by the ancients to prevent their magic from falling into anyone's possession, when someone enters the shrine the orb transforms them into hideous creatures without human intelligence. The orbs are made from the souls of the ancients, since the founding of the shrine the ancients have been sacrificing and compressing the souls of every dying elder. Elders at a ripened age possess huge amounts of magic and combining them for years has made the orbs an almost infinite source of power that most people would die to get their hands on.
