A true union of many diverse religions, races, and cultures, the Atreian League is a testament to the willpower of humanity, or at least, that's what it was supposed to be...

Carved out of more than a hundred nations, the League has stood as a bastion of equal treatment and protect against any persecution, at least in theory. True, no public divisions exist, but ancient grudges and hate are still there. Violence between ethnicity and religion are rampant, and discrimination of all kinds permeates the towns and cities.

Internal policing forces struggle to maintain the peace, and the government crushes any such discrimination where ever it is found, but only time can heal some wounds, be it years, or even centuries...

The Atreian League had long been feared by the other nations of the world, as it technically was the largest, but recent civil strife has erupted into all-out civil war. What's more, is the League was unable to prepare for the oncoming Ice Age, as much of it's bureaucracy was weighed down by red tape and a suffocating democracy. This has led to widespread hunger and energy problems, which are only made worse by the Civil War.

Still, as Commander-in-Chief Sergei Persis once said, "Failure once, while disheartening, is the first step to achieving greatness."
