Lilim: " Thomas: "Wait, you guys are fighting? Why?" Being originally from before recorded history, Lilim cannot speak the modern languages. Despite knowing ancient Akkadian, Sumerian, Egyptian, and Hebrew, no one speaks those tongues anymore. The binding ritual that connects Lilim to Thomas allows them to understand each other, and their minds will translate what the other is hearing. (If you speak ancient Akkadian, Lilim understands it, and so then does Thomas, and vice-versa, thus Lilim needs Thomas to understand english.) Due to her nature as a Darkling, Lilim must hide herself in a mortal form so as to not stand out, which greatly reduces her effects on men. However, since that Lust effect fuels her powers, and she cannot receive much from Thomas's damaged soul, she must rely on others. Thus, her choice in outfits. Living in the mortal world is hard for an out-of-time-and-place being.
