It had been a few weeks since flamingo had worn his halter for the first time. He had been doing amazing being led around the yard, to and from vet checks, etc.

When Sage caught wind of a Christmas halter show just down the road, what was the harm in signing the young colt up?

She handmade each and every decorating, creating little velcro wraps to go around his halter, and she even bought a red and white lead rope because it reminded her of a candy cane. She glued cotton balls and jingle bells on almost everything, despite it being his first time wearing anything on his legs, he didn't seem to mind!

He ended up placing 4th, out of 10 horses in his class. Not too shabby for his first time!
