Anne Frankenstein Nazi Hunter - Nate Watson CoverPlease look at it full size. This a cover drawn by Nate Watson [link] color by Vest [link] for a mini series I wrote about Anne FrankEnstein Nazi Hunter. I would love to get Mr. Watson to illustrate the entire series. But being employed full time as a comic book artist it might be hard for him to find room to do it or at least those are my thoughts.

I think so too. I half wish the artist wasn't so busy as I'd have him illustrate the entire story. But I'm happy that he is busy, gainfully employed as a comic book artist. So I only have the one piece and plan on pitching the story to Heavy Metal Magazine on the 23rd. If they don't pick it up I'll be looking for someone to do the artwork as it is well outside my realm of expertise.

Maybe the SacCon again no table. I'm fine tuning my Anne Frankenstein story to pitch to Kevin Eastman as a 3 parter. Finished the story I was writing at the WonderCon now I need to find someone to illustrate it. Maybe APE, maybe a table there would be fun also Bakersfeild is in November (I think) kind of a wait and see won't really be the same with Jake at school.

I think he'll be gone from about the end of August till around the end of April. So unless something really big happens with one of my stories I'll probably pass on a table at the WonderCon. He is studing art, main objective is 2d animation.

in general, i love the image. But in my opinion it has one huge drawback; the face. The glow is too strong, it takes away from the finer details of the face. Also the position of the eyes, nose etc are not lined up with the rest of the perspective.
If someone fixed the face i would say this would easily be my background for a few days.

Yeah I've heard that before. I am kind of on the fence with that issue. Having written the story I know the head is a holographic projection above the body. Would adding the detail back lessen that fact? Here are some other versions [link] as well as a small exscript from book 1 and book 2.

my suggestion would be an underlay instead of an overlay. Make a layer with the facial details then make another layer under it and use the bottom layer to simulate the holographic works, then you can manipulate the top layer with transparencies, bevels, etc etc to make it blend very well.
Ex: on my Entity World [link] if you look at the moon, believe it or not it took 6 layers to get that to retain detail yet still blend in. And on a side note: Yes i wanted the moon to have smooth features to contract the jaggedness of the mountains.
