CHAPTER 4: THE FIRST MISSION_______
PART 1

“So how does this work?” I asked Chimchar.
“Well,” he began, “we could either collect missions from the post office in the middle of town, or we get our missions via postal service, as in we get missions sent to us. Since we just became an exploration team, we won’t be getting any mail, so we should head down to the post office.
“Once we accept a mission, we must go to the place listed on the mission form and fulfill the mission. They range from deliveries to rescues to scavenger hunts. We can even take on missions that allow us to take down outlaws, but we’re not very experienced yet, so we should stay away from those. After we fulfill the mission, we meet with the pokemon who submitted the mission and accept our reward.”
“Sounds easy enough.” says Ken. “Lets head down to the post office and accept our first mission!” When we got there, there was only one there.

INFINITY FOREST

“We may as well accept.” said Ken. We took it and headed down to Infinity forest. We got there and we were welcomed by a swarm of wild pokemon. They were apparently unhappy about our previous visit, with all the noise we made and everything. I didn’t know how to battle, so I was helpless as Ken and Chimchar attacked the attacking pokemon and defended me. After the way was cleared, we continued on our way. I was worried that I was holding everyone back, but they didn’t show it.
After we were attacked by another pokemon, they decided to teach me the basics of battling. Chimchar took the roll as teacher and Ken was the practice dummy, since he knew how to be gentle with me. I learned how to focus my energy into using attacks and to unleash them to their full potential. I found out I knew pound, bubble, and peck. They weren’t very good moves, but they were a start. We continued on our way and reached the pond again. This appeared to be the end of the forest, so we decided to turn back. We heard rustling behind us and when we turned around, Ivysaur, and some of his companions jumped us. They consisted of Ivysaur, Charmeleon, and Warturtle.
“So I see you fell into our trap.” said Ivysaur. “You’re gonna pay for what you did yesterday!”
“You knocked me out and tried to pull off the act that you saved me!” I growled back. He tricked us into his revenge scheme!
“Anyone who messes with our partner will get the beating of a lifetime!” said Warturtle. We started to battle. They were able to split us up into three separate battles. Ken and Warturtle, Chimchar and Ivysaur, and me and Charmeleon.
