CHAPTER 14: THE FINAL MISSION_________When we woke up the next morning, something didn’t seem right. I poked my head out of the cave and no wind blew. I looked at the ocean and it was still as stone. I looked at a nearby root popping up from the ground. Its leaf was wet and a dew drop was falling from it. Except that the dew drop wasn’t falling. It was floating in midair! I became dizzy and had the same feeling from Echo Cave. I was having another vision. When I fell unconscious, I saw a path starting from where I was standing right now.
We exit town and go west. We continue on west until we reach the ocean. There was a pattern on the sand. The vision then took me over the water a long way until it started going up. It took me to a floating island with a huge tower. At the very top was the pokemon I saw in my vision at Echo Cave. I could see it clearly now. It was a dark blue with purple stripes that seem to stick out. It’s face had dark intensions and when the vision turned around, there was the island we were on.
When I came to, I realized what my vision told me. It was telling me where to go to find out who was causing all of time to stop. I had to wake everyone to tell them what I saw. To tell them what to do. To tell them that today, we head off towards our biggest mission ever. To save time.
The west path to the beach was very tough to endure. We had to go through several forest dungeons to finally get here. I looked for the pattern in the sand and found it a little farther north. Chimchar came up to it and studied it carefully. He tried to figure out what to do from here. He shrugged at us and when the rest of us walked up to it, I noticed it had three circles in it in a diagonal formation. When Ken and Kinichi got up close to it like I was, it started to glow and three beams of light shot in opposite directions in the sand.
“I guess the three of us follow these lights and we will open the way to the floating island.” I took a gander. Kinichi, Ken and I split up and when I found the end to the light, there was a rock with a dent in it. I tried to think of what to do here and when I saw some sticks, I knew what to do. I grabbed them and ran to Kinichi. I told her to catch these sticks on a light fire. When she did, I burned them out in the water and used Kinichi and Chimchar’s tails to dry the wood, I gave one to Kinichi and Ken and told them to draw the pattern into the dented space. When we did, a narrow piece of land started to rise. It only raised high enough so that would have to deal with the water slowing us down a bit. This was going to take a while. I turned around and saw time slowly stopping behind us. We had to hurry. We braved through the watery trail and fended off many water pokemon. Ken and I had to defend Kinichi and Chimchar most of the time since they are fire-types. We walked and walked for what seemed like hours. When it seemed like this trail would never end, we came across a rock with the same pattern as the one at the beach. When Ken, Kinichi and I got close, instead of a beam of light, after an earthquake, huge, stone stairs rose from the water. We bravely climbed the stairs, despite the fact that we were very tired. We finally reached the top of the stairs to see the edge of the floating island before us. We knew that we had to be prepared since we were now in enemy territory. We would have to sleep in shifts and be sure to always have supplies ready for the worst situation. We took cover in a cluster of bushes and slept to regain our strength. I had to force myself asleep. I was way too nervous about what we had to do at the top of the tower. The only thing that kept me from breaking down was Ken being next to me.
