CHAPTER 3: THE MEETING________Part 1
I woke up in the forest very confused. Was it all a dream? Disappearing through a beam of light and falling down a starry abyss? I looked at my surroundings and nothing looked familiar. I certainly wasn’t home anymore. I walked blindly through the new woods a little bit and found a river fairly close by. I tried to remember what I learned in summer camp about being lost in the woods. What summer camp was it? When did I go to summer camp? Why couldn’t I remember? I know I went there, but what was it? After straining my brain trying to remember, I decided to follow the river up. Eventually, I found a pond. I walked towards it to take a drink. As I finished my drink, I looked in the water and saw a Piplup’s reflection. I stared at it for a while before I started to get worried. I put my hand in front of my face and when the reflection did the same, I looked at my hand and instead of seeing a hand, I saw a fin! “H-h-h-h-h-h-huh?! What’s going on? Why am I a Piplup?” I realized that I wasn’t dreaming. This was real. In the middle of my panicking, I saw a faint glow start to come from the bottom of the pond. I peered down and saw a circular light start to grow and grow, bigger and bigger. Soon enough, the whole pond was engulfed in the light. The pond almost seemed to explode as a tiny creature appeared from the water and floated in front of me. It studied me, checking something.
It was pale with pink lines and big green eyes that took up half its little body and long pink antenna popping up from its head. It looked at me with a worried expression. What was the matter?
“There’s no time!” it said and it touched my forehead. In an instant, lot of pictures, images and thoughts swept through my mind. In the next instant, when the images stopped racing through my mind, I looked around and the creature was gone. I tried to understand how I ended up in this mess as I heard rustling in the trees behind me. When I turned, I saw a giant vine hit me square in the head and at that instant, I was out.
Chimchar walked around the woods with his bag tight by his side. He was looking around every tree and bush, searching for that pokemon. He would sometimes find items here and there, but no sign of any distressed pokemon. Some pokemon, confused about an invader in their habitat, attacked occasionally, but they didn’t stand a chance. “Umbreon said that I was supposed to look for a Piplup. He was right, Piplup don’t usually come around here. I wonder what made it end up here in the forest?” Once it seemed like the search would never end, Chimchar saw some footsteps lead to and up a stream. They were webbed and small in size. He flipped through a pokemon guide and identified the tracks as a Piplup’s tracks. He followed the footsteps to arrive at a pond. As he arrived, he saw an Ivysaur pull an unconscious Piplup from the pond. “Wow!” Chimchar said with a shocked face. “Is it alright?”
Ivysaur turned to Chimchar and gave him a mean look. “Back off bud!” He said with greed in mind. “This story is gonna make me rich!”
“What are you talking about?”
“Mind your own business!” Ivysaur tried grabbing Chimchar with a vine whip. Chimchar dodged it and shot an ember at the vine holding the Piplup, causing Ivysaur to drop the Piplup on the ground. Ivysaur then charged in with a take down, scoring a direct hit. Chimchar landed light on his feet and put the bag down on the ground to lift the weight off of him. Chimchar tried firing another ember at Ivysaur, but Ivysaur held it back with razor leaf. He followed up with vine whip and once he had Chimchar in his grip, held on tight.
“You think you got me? Try this!” Chimchar used flame wheel to break free and kept it going to do massive damage on Ivysaur. Ivysaur fell to the ground and when he got up, started to run away. “I’ll get you for this!” He swore with murderous intention. When Ivysaur was gone, Chimchar picked up the Piplup and used an escape orb he found to get out of the forest and return home safely.
