CHAPTER 6: ECHO CAVE______________We reached the entrance of Echo Cave and felt a change in the air. It sent a shiver down my spine. “Let’s go before we chicken out.” I said. We could hardly see anything inside. The only thing we had to light our way was Ken’s glowing rings and Chimchar’s fire tail. We saw some zubat and golbat hanging from the ceiling. We kept close together to not get lost as we moved forward in the cave. We looked around and that feeling I had outside never went away. Something was not right here. Something didn’t quite make sense. I always thought that caves were fairly damp, and there are stalagmites and stalactites everywhere. If that’s the case, why haven’t I seen or herd any drops of water fall on the floor? I already thought that maybe this place had already lost it’s time, but there was also the possibility that the cave was dry. It did feel a little warm. That didn’t help at all, though. The feeling still didn’t go away. The feeling then turned to nausea and my head started to hurt. I felt woozy and I fell on the floor. Images raced in my mind again. I saw someone, and then the images switched to the cave. I saw drops of water get ready to fall of the stalagmites and then freeze before they can fall. I then saw a medium-sized pokemon guard a chest at the end of the cave. I regained consciousness to find Ken and Chimchar looking down at me with concerned looks. “Are you alright?” asked Chimchar.
“Yah” I said weakly.
“What happened?” asked Ken.
“I don’t know. I fainted and all of a sudden saw a whole bunch of images that didn’t make much sense.”
“What did you see?” questioned Chimchar.
“I can’t remember some of it, but I remember seeing a pokemon and a tall tower and a smaller one at the end of a cave that looked like this one a little bit.”
“That’s strange.” said Ken. “Well, maybe the pokemon from your vision will know what’s going on with the time being all screwy.”
“I’m not even sure if it was true.” I said negatively. “I could have had a dream. It could all be fake.”
“I don’t know.” said Ken. I don’t think it’s a coincidence. I think its right.”
“Only one way to find out.” said Chimchar, “Continue to the end of the cave.”
