Description CHAPTER 7: THE TRUTH________

We had traveled a long way inside Echo Cave. It was almost pitch black, even with Chimchar’s flame tail. There wasn’t many wild pokemon in this part of the cave, so we didn’t have anything to worry about. I was able to get better at using my attacks when we did encounter a pokemon. We were all running low on strength when we saw a light up ahead. When we got through, it was a dead end. The only thing there was in this room was the skylight up above which was where the source of light came from and a message engraved in the wall. Or at least, it looked like a message. I couldn’t read it. It was in a language I didn’t know or have ever seen. “What’s that?” asked Ken.
“It looks like some kind of writing.” replied Chimchar. “What it says is something I’m not sure. I don’t understand any of it.”
Just then, I heard a whoosh behind us and Ken fell. Another whoosh and Chimchar fell. I started to run for the wall and was stopped by a fox-like pokemon. I stared into its eyes and everything went dark. When I could see, there were swirling colors everywhere. Chimchar and Ken were on both of my sides and surrounding us were tons of pokemon. “What’s going on?” I asked, scared.
“I don’t know, but we should take care of these guys, first.” said Ken.
We started battling with the pokemon. It wasn’t easy at all. When we took down one, ten more were behind it and more behind them. I started to feel a little dizzy. I tried to shake it off, but it was coming stronger and stronger. I remembered this feeling. I turned to Chimchar. “Could you make another fire spin barrier…Chimchar?”
    “Sure. Why?”
“I think I’m…having another…vision…” This time was really quick. I saw Ken use some kind of attack. It looked like he released energy, turned it razor sharp, and KO’d all the pokemon in the room. When I came to, the fire spin had disappeared. Ken came to my side and helped me up. “What did you see?” he asked.
“You this time. You used a new move.” Chimchar ran next to me after that.
“What kind of move?” asked Chimchar.
“He released razor sharp energy and all the pokemon instantly fell to the ground.”
“I know of two moves that do that.” said Chimchar. “It’s either razor wind or vacuum-cut. I don’t think umbreons can learn razor wind, but it’s possible for them to learn vacuum cut. It doesn’t take long. Maybe lv. 15 is when they learn it.”
“Even though I’ve only been here a couple weeks?” asked Ken.
“We have been battling an awful lot.” I said.
“Alright. I’ll try.” said Ken. He got into position. He really tried to focus. He started to glow a little bit. The energy looked almost like metal covering his whole body. It got so bright it was really hard to look at without your eyes hurting. Then, in an instant, it all disappeared. Vanished as if never was. He looked confused and we looked dumbstruck. Our mistake. While we were watching Ken, the pokemon took the opportunity to trap us and pin us to the floor. I shot bubble at the pokemon on Ken. I knew how we were going to win. Ken had to use vacuum-cut. But he wasn’t trying it again. I kept using bubble to keep him from getting pinned again. He still wasn’t using it. “Ken, use vacuum-cut.”
“It won’t work!” said Ken
“Keep trying! I know you can!” When he tried it again, the energy was brighter than before. It kept going and going, not stopping. Eventually, it all exploded. All at once, the energy went flying everywhere. The razor-sharp energy attacked like a swarm of bees on each pokemon. They all collapsed to the ground, just like in my vision. I started to feel a little stronger. My fins started to glow as a boulder fell from above me. Before it could squish me, I covered my head and similar sharp energy from Ken’s attack came from my fins and shattered the boulder. Chimchar ended up doing the same thing as me, but in mid-air, without aiming. We were both a little shocked. Then, the pokemon I saw earlier before we were all knocked out appeared before us. Chimchar looked astonished. More than the rest of us. “It’s the wise Ninetails.” he whispered.
