SIDE QUEST CHAPTER 2: THE BEGINNING OF THE END__________________

There was a deathly silence surrounding AC Team and us, Team Chikara. We all focused our attention to the direction of the ocean, waiting for the criminals who are destroying the dimensions to appear. We stood in the same spots, AC Team a distance from Team Chikara, for quite a while. None of us could move, even if they wanted to. Suddenly, Alakazam started to spin around, looking either woozy or dizzy. Tyranitar and Charizard helped to keep him up. We went over to them and asked what was wrong.
“This is what happens when he feels a wave of foreboding.” Explained Tyranitar.
“So what does that mean?” I asked.
“It means that our enemies are close.” Charizard said with a nervous tone.
“They have already reached the beach,” Tyranitar said, “and they are already making their way up here.”
“How can you tell?” Chimchar asked a little intrigued, very un-fitting for the situation.
“I’m able to use my ability as a ground-type to feel footstep on the ground when I have even a small part of my body, like my feet…” he said this while pointing down at his feet, which were dug into the ground, “…is in the ground.” He turned his attention to the back to the way to the beach. “They’re here.” He said. Two shady pokemon started to appear from where Tyranitar was looking. They were very full of themselves, for not trying to be sneaky about getting here. Instead, they stood directly in front of us and looked at us all straight in the eye. When sunset’s light hit them, we were able to see what they looked like. One of them was green and about middle height with razor-sharp leaves growing out of his head and arms. The other was floating, he had no feet. It looked like his stomach had eyes and a mouth while his head was nothing but an eye glowing in the dark. When they saw us, they didn’t look impressed at all.
“This is who stands between us and the dimensional orb here?” asked the green one, being very skeptical.
“It would appear to be that way, Grovyle.” said the other with no legs.
“Who are you?” Alakazam asked without the slightest hint of fear in his voice.
“We are bandits looking for a simple goal.” Grovyle said.
“That’s not what he meant.” Said Charizard, letting his temper get the best of him.
“Oh please,” said Grovyle’s partner, “have a sense of humor.”
“I am Grovyle and this is my partner in crime, Dusknoir.” Grovyle said much more willingly.
“What did you mean earlier when you said you ‘looking for a simple goal’?” I asked.
“Exactly what it means.” Dusknoir said. They were really starting to get annoying with their lack of answering questions.
“What is you’re goal?!” said Charizard through gritted teeth.
“To do what our master Darkrai failed to do.” said Grovyle. “Put this world into another dimension so he could rule it in his own way.”
“You follow Darkrai?” Ken asked.
“If that’s the case, then we have no problem.” Said a swell-headed Kinichi. “We beat their leader, we have already won.”
“You underestimate us.” Grovyle appeared behind us and did an uppercut on Kinichi into the air and kicked her to the ground after appearing above her. He landed in front of me and we locked eyes. He was a little bit taller than me. “We are much, much stronger than our leader.” I tried throwing him to the side using steel wing, but he grabbed my fin and threw me into Ken. Chimchar tried flamethrower but Grovyle then just stepped to the side and Chimchar instead hit Tyranitar. AC Team decided to join the fray but was blocked by Dusknoir.
“You two have me to deal with.” He said with his stomach smiling an evil smile.

The four of us couldn’t even track Grovyle long enough to dodge his attacks. When he was done attacking one of us he’d move to the other. We didn’t even have enough time to try to use an attack before he attacked us again. It didn’t take long before we were all knocked to the ground. He was standing over me, looking ready to finish me off. Right before he was ready to us a final leaf blade, a bone came out of nowhere and whacked him on the face. That gave me the opportunity to use a quick bubble beam and at least do a little damage. Even while lying down it gave me enough time to stand up. When I turned around, Cubone was standing behind us, bone in hand.
“Cubone!” I was surprised by his appearance. “Aren’t you supposed to guard the dimensional orb?”
“Don’t worry about it.” He said, his eyes locked onto Grovyle. “It will be more than a challenge for them to get to it now.”
“So you guys knew why we were coming here?” Grovyle asked. I went over to the others, ignoring his question, and helped them up. It was now five to one and I’m sure we can get through this and stop them from destroying the dimensions. Grovyle decided to be the first to attack again. He grabbed Cubone and was about to throw him in the air when Chimchar hit him with flamethrower.
“Are you going to give up now, Grovyle?” Chimchar asked.
“You can’t beat all of us.” Kinichi said.
“You just love to open your mouth, don’t you?” Grovyle asked, annoyed. Grovyle ran to Kinichi and right before he was able to reach her, Ken used vacuum-cut, which interrupted his attack. “Hmph. So you do have some fight in you. I thought I was pushing around a bunch of kids.”
“Grrrrr!” Kinichi started to get angry. “Try saying that again.”
“I thought I was fighting….” Kinichi tried using metal claw on Grovyle but he ended up grabbing it. “….a bunch of kids.” Grovyle jumped high in the air and used a seismic toss and hurled Kinichi into the ground. The dirt that flew into the air blinded me for a second and when I could see, Kinichi was out cold. “For a while now, I haven’t been going very tough on you.” Grovyle said after he landed on the ground. “But now, I’m angry enough to wipe you off of the face of this world.”

Dusknoir stood above AC Team and looked down on their unconscious bodies. They were of no real challenge to him. Grovyle met him at the Cubone dojo, which wasn’t hard to find and was really close to the battlefield. They entered the dojo and had a hard time figuring out what was so special about this place that they would hide the dimensional orb here. Grovyle stepped on a soft spot on the floor and he heard a click. An elevator popped up from the ground. He motioned to Dusknoir to the elevator and the used it to go to a huge place underground. They grinned at their discovery. They knew where the orb was now.
