this is the requested pic for...orchid from killer instinct.
i thought i should do something christmassy... being Christmas and all. i was thinking about how killer instinct is pretty what history now and what orchid would be up to these days. so i thought i'd do her as a fake santa assistant, lamenting her discontinued career.

WEll, I was looking for Orchid pics on the net and came across Nesland and the chunli vs Orchid pic was missing from the caption (some other pic was there instead) and I noticed you had done a few pics of Orchid in you time and reckoned you might also be a fan. So I "hunted" you down through google and came across deviant and your website although originally I didnt find the pic at your website until you gave me the link.
I would be honoured if you'd do a pic. I'm into this best video game babe thing so how about an actual fighting scene between Orchid and some other character. I have some ideas but you tell me if you're up for it first ??

Did the makers of killer instict realise that the word orchid comes from the latin word orchis meaning testicle?
I would personally consider that a bad name. The reason I know this is because I was going to call Shrike 'orchid' at one point, not because I'm a perverted etymologist (not professionally anyhow...)

me thinks they were thinking of the flower itself rather than the etymology of the word, especially since this was the kind of fighting game that had nothing intellectual about it and people who play killer instinct aren't going to be thinking to hard about the thought behind the programming
also meaning or not, calling a character "Black Ball" was the most feminine thing about the game XD
