I was using this tutorial:

as the basis to try and make a better star field background for my planet. I am pretty happy with the result for the closest two sets of stars (the 4 near-field and the largest of the far-field), but the small and medium far-field stars are not quite how I would like them. Also, I've been toying with a way to use the "plasma" cloud render (or something else?) to try and vary the color from star to star, but haven't gotten there yet.
