Paps likes being more solid because it accentuates his curves, but Sans likes to 'spook' others so he likes to be a little more transparent. I drew the different feet they could make because I didn't have space for their feet in the other drawings!
Btw, Papyrus isn't narcissistic and he just copies the poses from Mettaton (a bad influence!!!). I would say Paps is naive and kind at the same time.
Other than Asgore, Sans, Undyne and maybe Toriel, he could be said to be one of the strongest monsters in the Underground, but he wouldn't hurt anyone unless....
